Today is a FULL MOON in Taurus (26th), and a storm has been building here.
Do YOU feel atmospheric shifts of change in the air?
The Moon orbits the Earth, and it has a direct and measurable effect on our emotions, intuition, sleep and energy. Other planets do not directly effect our energy – because they have no gravitational force that alters our human biology or brain chemistry, but according to astrologists the much slower movements of planets represent broader life chapters, lessons, and psychological themes. The star gazers share insights so we can draw upon those archetypical cycles during our deeper reflections, and it helps us to be more conscious of our mind shifts.
Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus and Chiron are all in retrograde. The planets aren’t actually moving backwards, but retrograding planets are associated with reflection, and these are their themes …
- Mercury – communication, hidden truths, unfinished conversations
- Venus – LOVE, relationships, values, what we believe we are worthy of
- Saturn – old lessons come back into focus – so we can take personal accountability and maintain healthy boundaries
- Neptune – questioning illusions to see with more clarity
- Uranus – acknowledging the changes we’ve resisted, and the freedom we may be denying ourselves by holding onto what no longer serves us
- Chiron – old wounds surface for an opportunity to change patterns
“Sometimes the most powerful magic is recognising what needs to change, what deserves to remain, and what we are finally ready to leave behind.”
As a witchy woo woo woman, I’ve been feeling extra sensitive to the drop in atmospheric pressure as the storm approaches, and planetary alignments are inviting me to expand my gaze for a deeper reflection.
What is the FULL MOON in Taurus illuminating for you?
For me, it’s reflecting the healing and harmony I’m feeling in my relationship, it’s making me aware of how others respond to my choices, and it’s shining a light on my frustrations with the system, which has been presenting in various different ways, but systemic social pressure is what Taurus energy is all about.
Taurus moon is a Scorpio sun, and it’s triggering a conversation about emotional, psychological and systemic security. The Sun and Moon are both squaring Pluto, so it’s challenging the structures we’ve depended on for stability, but if we are open to change there’s potential for transformation.
“We’re re-evaluating our relationships, re-considering our values, and looking closely at what we need to thrive,” and that means recognizing that some things we hold onto aren’t supporting us to move forwards, and those are the things we are being called to release.
We are ALL being invited to look at our deeply embedded beliefs, to recognize how it shapes social and cultural norms, so we can challenge patriarchal rule, and dismantle outdated power systems.
That’s how we create more balanced systems …
… but first, we must become conscious of how the power struggle of conflicting truths within our own minds (the polarity) influences our interactions with others, and how it effects the quality of our relationships with SELF and other.
Sustainable change must happen within us before it can be created around us.
“Meaningful change must take root in the physical world, then we carry those intentions through our choices, relationships, and communities.”
What changes do YOU want to see in the world?
I want to see healing in the world, and that’s always been the intention behind every choice I’ve ever made, but life is teaching me that the healing doesn’t stop when we’ve healed ourselves, and it doesn’t end when we are in a healthy relationship with another – because healing is a daily practice, and an ongoing process that encourages us to be more honest with ourselves, more authentic in our interactions with others, and more compassionate with each other.
That’s the light of truth we shine so others can heal.
Shifting into Scorpio season is initiating a deeper and more meaningful collective conversation, but Taurus brings grounding energy, and this FULL MOON in Taurus wants us to find the balance between stability and change, so we can feel grounded during these times of uncertainty.
How do we work best with this energy?
Take care of your mind, body and spirit – because life isn’t just about learning more lessons, working hard, growing from our experiences, being of service, healing our wounds, overcoming our fears, and becoming better versions of ourselves. We are HERE to experience this wonderful blessing of life, to feel good, to be happy, and to be nourished by everything life has to offer.
We are ALL born worthy of a wonderful life 💖
