Full Moon in Aquarius …

I’ve been looking UP at the moon to understand my monthly ebbs and flow for years, but as my cycle changes (thanks to menopause), I notice how my gaze is expanding towards the stars. I don’t consider myself a star gazer, but I’m learning how planetary alignments influence my thoughts, feelings and energy.

This months FULL MOON (30th July – 12.35am) is in Aquarius

Aquarius is known as the visionary – the part of us that challenges old systems, seeking a better way. The shadow of Aquarius is detachment and disconnection. Aquarius is my moon sign, and I’ve experienced both sides of this energy (the light and the shadow), so each experience has given me a broader perspective.

I frequently ask my SELF … what have I outgrown?

It could be a habit, a pattern, a cycle, a belief, a relationship, a community, a friendship, or a version of myself that once felt comfortable.

For me, during the lead up to this full moon there’s been a strong sense of feeling BETWEEN – but it’s about more than who I was, and who I’m becoming. While walking on the beach the other day, I acknowledged how often I walk between the past and the future – how my mantra during our family crisis was “Hope for the best, prepare for the worst, and function to the best of my ability in-between.” I’m conscious of how this became a NEW way of being for me, but it no longer fits – because life doesn’t feel like an ongoing crisis I need to survive anymore. Thank fuck – because it was exhausting.

In the past, this insight would be enough for me, but there’s so much more going on in the sky that’s having an impact on how I think and feel.

While the MOON is in AQUARIUS – the SUN is in LEO

Leo energy is a bold and radiant astrological force of courage, confidence and creativity – stirring the fires of our passion, amplifying our self expression, and igniting our personal power so we can be fully seen. The shadow of Leo is ego and drama, which I’ve also experienced my fair share of, but as a woman who is open to experience the fullness of my life, it’s served me well.

Oh, I haven’t always wanted to have that shadowy experience, and I’ve never liked it, but there’s always a reason why we experience something, even if it takes a while to be able to fully appreciate what we were learning from it.

According to the star gazers – Aquarius is questioning old expectations, seeking clarification about where it came from (family? society? religion?), and it’s questioning our past decisions, so we can take steps towards our future. Leo is asking us – who do we want to become? so we can step more fully into ourselves, and shine our light. The conversation between Aquarius and Leo is prompting us to find the BALANCE between expressing our own unique light, and remembering we are part of a much BIGGER constellation of stars.

The LIONS GATE opens today (28th July)

In the past, I’ve acknowledged the significance of the 8th of the 8th, but like the moon, there’s an activation process that begins before the portal reaches it’s most potent energy. According to the star gazers – the lions gate occurs when Sirius (a star) is in alignment with the SUN, often referred to as the dog star because of it’s place in another constellation, it’s also known as the spiritual star, because it’s visibility before sunrise brings a divine twinkle to the sky.

The lions gate is a manifestation portal so NOW is the time to focus on our spiritual alignment, by reflecting upon our feelings, so we can let go of what no longer serves us – because opening our hearts to feel the presence of our desires in present time, is how we align with what we want to experience.

Our energy flows where our attention goes

To tune into this manifesting energy – focus on your solar plexus chakra. Interestingly, before realizing that the Sun was in Leo, and before learning more about the lions gate, I intuitively bought a yellow candle the other day with the word SOLAR written on it.

I love those intuitive nudges

Apparently, Mercury ended it’s Retrograde on the 23rd of July, and my body responded unexpectedly – because after months of not bleeding, I started to flow. That’s why I know things are changing for me, but I’m still learning how to navigate the transition – from my usual monthly flow to an energetic pull IN-wards, where I’m integrating the power of my sovereignty

Saturn went Retrograde -26th July, and will end 10th December

This energy can feel heavy, but it’s asking us to BEWARE …

Are you carrying the burdens that were never yours to bare? “You were never meant to carry every season forever, some chapters exist only to shape you, not to stay with you” (Alexa – your beautiful life)

If something isn’t authentically ours, then it doesn’t have the foundations needed for the future, and we will be feeling the weight of this release.

According to the star gazers, Saturn has reactivated the magic triangle of a rare astrological alignment, and as I read about this cosmic event I can’t deny the resonance – because the alignment triggers a personal story for me

  • Uranus is in Gemini – representing sudden freedom
  • Neptune is in Aries – representing spiritual growth
  • Pluto is in Aquarius – representing powerful shifts

I notice how I want to detach from the story triggering an emotional reaction, and focus on the collective story because I can feel the shift, but I know that would be a shadowy response. So, I acknowledge the version of myself that suffered the consequences of wanting to keep everyone else comfortable.

“I release the ache of disappointment and the pain of staying stuck. With the space this creates I play with wonder and curiosity. I celebrate the wisdom of knowing better and the courage I have birthed to embrace the change. Everything is unfolding in perfect timing and divine order.” (Romy)

To work with this months FULL MOON energy during the Lions Gate

It’s about more than what we are releasing …

  • Where in my life am I being called to expand?
  • Where is my life asking me to awaken?

Today, as I light a candle to honour the life of my beloved father, our DAD, who died 28th August 2019, I acknowledge the past with reverence – to bring peace and light to his memory, but also for my MAM, and my soul sister. The past is gone, and sadly so are they, but our parents are not missing from us, and they will never be forgotten. The enduring love I feel for those in spirit is an ongoing bond that brings me comfort, and it’s a guiding presence that remains with me.

My love is far stronger than any fear of loss I may have

When I heard a song the other day, it brought my attention to a connection I still feel with another, but I no longer desire what was never mine, and I’ve made peace with it. Letting go is never easy, especially when the love still flows, but some chapters are meant to end, and some doors are supposed to close.

What door way is waiting for YOU to walk through?

I can’t see a door yet, and I’m not sure how I feel about that if I’m honest.

I just know … I AM HERE
